China will be “the main beneficiary” of US President Donald Trump’s foreign policies, including his decision to align with Russia over Ukraine, Kyiv’s former foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba has said. Speaking days after a blistering on-camera argument between Trump and Ukrainian Presidency Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office, Kuleba said “everyone saw that the United States do not consider themselves as an ally of Ukraine and Europe any more”.

China could send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine to help preserve any negotiated ceasefire in its war with Russia – as long as they are working with non-Nato countries like India – a former PLA colonel suggested.
