    My dearest readers, you may remember that in my last column, I declared myself ‘consciously single’ and insisted I was done with the dating game. I’ve managed to remain true to my word. For the past few months, I’ve been living in a blissful state of unlike, thanks to my invisible man shield. There’s been no cryptic texts, or mind games. My energy has been firmly focused elsewhere, and it’s been liberating to say the least. I’ve been immune to even the hottest of men that have crossed my path.

    As a single woman of a certain age, it can seem like you're constantly having to explain or justify your situation. Strangely enough, I was never asked about my lovelife when I actually had a boyfriend, to be fair people weren’t quite as nosy back in the Dark Ages. But lately, I find myself saying the words “I’m single” a lot more than I care to. Trust me, there’s no shame in my game.
