Nine people were rescued from a sinking sailboat in the San Francisco Bay on Saturday. Shortly before 2 p.m., the San Francisco Fire Department received a call alerting them to a boat in distress approximately 500 yards from Marina Green, SFFD’s Lieutenant Mariano Elias told SFGATE in a phone call. The fire department and the U.S. Coast Guard rescued 8 of the passengers. All passengers were wearing life jackets, and no one was injured in the sinking.

When it works, the animatronic Tangaroa Tree is part of the Enchanted Tiki Room's pre-show, just outside of the venue. In Disneyland lore, Tangaroa is a Tiki god, the father of all the gods at the Enchanted Tiki Room, who takes the form of a tree.

After returning to the park last year, Disneyland's popular runDisney races will be taking another pause.
