    A Houston man with a history of domestic violence allegedly fatally stabbed his female roommate on April 26, ABC 13 reported. Houston Police Department (HPD) officers responded to to an apartment complex for a wellness check and, upon arrival, discovered blood on the back patio, according to a HPD press release. Police allegedly found Elizabeth Odunsi, 23, on the kitchen floor with multiple stab injuries and Houston Fire Department paramedics declared her dead on-scene.

    Three corrections officers at Wallens Ridge State Prison were stabbed Friday morning in a supposed “premeditated” attack, the Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) said. The alleged attack took place shortly before 10 a.m. on Friday, according to a VADOC press release circulating on X. Five of the six inmates allegedly involved are confirmed members from the MS-13 gang, and the other inmate is a confirmed member of the Sureño 13 gang, officials said.

    The CIA is planning to cut over 1,000 jobs over the course of the next few years amid the Trump administration’s ongoing efforts to downsize, the New York Times reported Friday. The NYT, citing officials briefed on the CIA’s plans, said the agency does not plan to conduct any mass firings. In March, the CIA reportedly let go of 80 recently hired employees. Officers who worked on diversity issues have also been fired. A judge, however, has temporarily stopped the effort.

    At least 15,000 employees at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) have accepted the Trump administration’s offer to resign amid the department’s job cuts, POLITICO reported Saturday. During the first deferred resignation program offered at the USDA back in January, exactly 3,877 employees agreed to the deal, according to POLITICO. During the second wave, 11,305 employees reportedly agreed to the terms. More resignations may follow.

    California authorities say they caught an alleged “serial cat killer” after the man was supposedly captured luring a feline on camera. Santa Ana Police Department said in an Instagram post Wednesday that they received multiple reports about “the suspected abuse and killing of cats in a local neighborhood.” Reports from neighbors said that a man was luring neighborhood cats to his property where he then allegedly harmed or killed them. Police say these reports came in over several weeks.
