New measures aimed at increasing the supply of rental homes in NSW and fast-tracking infrastructure in the outer suburbs have been unveiled by the state government. Under the proposed changes, private developers would be allowed to build public infrastructure, such as roads and parks, on their land — with pre-approval from the state. An existing tax cut for the owners of multi-unit properties — primarily used as rental accommodation — would also be extended.

They're consuming around nine bales a day — as there are no green pastures left to graze on. But the lifelong farmer is worried about what will happen when the hay runs out.

A story I did with a devastated NSW farmer who has no way of feeding his 500 dairy cows. I was standing by a road in Coopernook when he pulled over + asked me to visit his flooded farm. Clearly a tough iv for him to do, but he wants people to know what farmers are going through. https://t.co/Nswudiu4PX
