Conor McGregor is already lining up his excuses. The MMA fighter is predictably pitching the martyr’s tale that he wants to run for president but is being blocked by the powers-that-be. “There’s stipulations. You have to get four county councils, which are controlled by the government parties or you have to get 20 nominations of the Oireachtas, which are all mostly partly affiliates. You can’t just run for president,” he told his new pal, American conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson.
