The group's members, who operated a county lines drugs network in Harrogate and surrounding areas, were sentenced to custody at Leeds Crown Court in August 2023.

    A Harrogate man who stole a car and drove it when drunk was jailed at York Magistrates Court yesterday (April 15). Carl Blackmore, of Spa Lane in Harrogate, pleaded guilty to five offences: driving without insurance, obstructing an officer in the execution of their duty, driving whilst disqualified, drink-driving and taking a car without the owner’s consent. All of the offences happened on April 13 this year. According to court documents, Blackmore stole the car at an address on Skellbank in Ripon.

James Gilroy, whose address was given as HMP Hull, pleaded guilty to six charges of theft from a shop at York Magistrates Court yesterday (April 15). According to court documents, Gilroy stole £333.94 worth of stock from TK Maxx in Harrogate on February 17.

Firefighters were called after a youth got stuck on the roof of a toilet block in Ripon. North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s incident log said a crew from Ripon was called to the scene at 5.49pm yesterday (April 15).

A charity shop in Ripon has been left with a huge bill after vandals struck and the store was burgled last night (April 14). Saint Michael’s Hospice said on social media staff and volunteers arrived at the North Street branch yesterday (April 15) morning to find the shop front had been "vandalised" and the inside of the store “raided”.
