DODOMA: DEPUTY Minister of State in the President’s Office (Regional Administration and Local Government -PO-RALG), Dr Festo Dugange said yesterday that the government has employed a total of 34,720 health professionals, purposely to improve health service delivery in the country. The deputy minister said the government has continued to allocate budgets and recruit health professionals in various cadres across the country to ensue citizens get access to services they deserve.

DODOMA: THE government has signed contracts with three service providers for the operation of phase two of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, a move that is expected to ease transportation in Dar es Salaam. Minister of State in the President’s Office for Regional Administration and Local Government (PORALG), Mr Mohammed Mchengerwa told Members of Parliament yesterday that the contracts have been signed through the partnership between the government and the private sector (PPP).

DODOMA: THE government has paid pensions totalling 1.085bn/- to 1,794 former employees of defunct East African Community (EAC) institutions. Finance Minister Dr Mwigulu Nchemba said the payment, covering the period from April to June 2025, was made to former staff of several institutions: TTCL (629), TRC (792), TPC (252) and TPA (8).
