The German Parliament passed the law implementing Directive (EU) 2021/2101 with regard to the disclosure of income tax information by certain companies and branches (so-called public country-by-country reporting) on May 11, 2023. The rules will apply to multinational and high turnover (turnover threshold at €750 million) companies—both unrelated and related companies—as well as domestic branches of unrelated and related companies established outside the European Union.
