NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — We're saying goodbye to a friend. Lulu Roman has died. She was 78. Lulu was a gospel singer, comedian, and one of the stars of the show "Hee Haw." For years, Lulu would come here to NewsChannel 5's studios to tape episodes of "Hee Haw.""We been knowing each other 40 years now," said country singer T. Graham Brown. "We no doubt loved each other very much. I'm really gonna miss her."Back in September, I met and interviewed Lulu for a "Hee Haw" retrospective.

For anyone who got to be there to see it, it was unforgettable. “How you doin’? Sean Kenner asked a customer as he bagged another set of groceries at a Kroger on Gallatin Ave. “I’m usually bagging,” he said. “I’m usually the cashier. It keeps me super busy all day, every day.”“Y’all have a good one!” Sean called after a pair of customers.

A cause has spoken to a teen's heart, and he's calling on everyone to help out. The way to help is simple, but there's a significant impact. "I'm the kind of person where I want to help as many ways as possible," said 18 year old Kenny Royer told WTVF. Kenny is a senior at Montgomery Bell Academy. "This one was more close to home," he continued.

12-year-old Brooklyn has just baked two cakes that raised a combined $7,050 for @AmericanCancer. The cakes come from a recipe by family friend Parnell Sutton…who died last year at 98. "She wanted the cakes to continue to be made," Brooklyn said. https://t.co/9PHpBV7asW

Never watched the very first Best Picture winner before (then Best Production)…the 1927 silent film Wings. For a film that’s nearly 100, this holds up remarkably well. The pacing’s quick, there’s a constant inventiveness to the shots, and the aerial photography remains great. https://t.co/uFSJA5TnwL

Got to catch @MJtheMusical at @tpac this week. The cast is so good in this. The songs punch just like they should. Also…was surprised by a few MJ songs that showed up. Really good mix of the defining hits…with a few of the best album tracks/under appreciated songs sprinkled in. https://t.co/iLP9fOYSBI
