Echoing the calls of Students for Life Action (SFLAction), 43 members of the Texas House of Representatives sent a letter to House State Affairs Committee Chairman Representative Ken King, urging him to bring S.B. 2880, the Women and Child Protection Act, to a vote—and their push succeeded. On Friday, May 23rd, the bill was brought forward and passed out of committee in an 8 to 5 vote, marking a major victory for pro-life advocates across Texas. It’s now headed to the House floor for a vote.
