But once a year, hundreds of children know it as the backdrop of a grand Easter egg hunt. More than 125 children and their families dotted the grounds Saturday for the 19th-century Easter Egg Hunt. Interpretive Ranger Sasha Traña served as tour guide for the participants who started their search from the back porch of the Main House.

Music is a full sensory experience and Arie is a full participant. Arie and her family members joined music educators from Kids' Orchestra April 5 for Books & Music, a reoccurring program that uses music-themed books to engage and educate young people between the ages of 3 and 11.

The Lenten season is tied to traditions seeded in the establishment of the Roman Catholic Church. Rick Prescott and Gregory Martinez helped lead the way to a local embodiment of those traditions — the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry Fundraiser held annually every Friday during Lent at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
