Lately, Wesleyan University’s Michael Roth has started making a habit of checking in with his dean of admissions more often. He’s worried about their international students — and whether any have opted not to enroll. There’s little sign of that yet, but as Donald Trump ramps up attacks on elite universities across America, Roth isn’t taking any chances. As with many colleges, most foreign students at Wesleyan — who make up 10% of its total — pay full price, which now approaches $100,000 a year.
