Individuals with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) without prior ischemic events, such as myocardial infarction (MI), ischemic stroke (IS), or unstable angina (UA) hospitalization, are at very high risk for having an event. To estimate the impact of PCSK9 inhibitor (PCSK9i) therapy on ischemic events in this population. Patients with ASCVD were initially selected from the Optum Research Database during Jan 2016 to Dec 2022.

Patients ≥ 18 years old with a probable history of asthma visiting the pulmonary outpatient ward/ clinic will be asked to participate in this study. Patients with a confirmed diagnosed asthma are not allowed to participate. The inclusion of patients with respiratory infections < 3 weeks ago will be postponed to > 3 weeks. For reasons of external validity and generalizability of the study results, it was decided not to exclude subgroups such as smokers or obese patients.

OverviewIntroduction: Telemedicine has shown to play a promising role in improving IBD treatment. However, it remains uncertain which patients benefit from telemedicine. A feasibility and development project using IBD Care Everywhere (IBD-CE), a telemonitoring application, found that some patients were unable or unwilling to use the application. However, why patients were not able or willing to use the application remains unknown.

OverviewThe aim EXACT@Home is to create an evidence-based health program using e.g. questionnaires, a digital health platform and multiple digital devices to further improve the assessment of patients diagnosed with severe asthma. By better charting treatable traits (e.g. poor adherence, physical inactivity, dysfunctional breathing), we expect to improve the indication for the use of biologics.
