A draft class littered with busts out of the Top 10, the 2017 group is saved by the fact that it has had a few late lottery picks – and late first-rounders – totally outplay pre-draft expectations. The 2017 NBA Draft does have its fair share of good role players after the cream of the crop, but overall, its depth isn’t all that great, considering we couldn’t even fill the 30 spots in this re-draft with guys who are still in the NBA.

There were some questionable decisions made by NBA teams in the 2018 draft, namely with who went second and third. Besides that, there was only one egregious pick in the Top 10, with that distinction belonging to the Knicks, who took Kevin Knox at No. 9. We already have one player from this draft class who appears to be on a clear Hall-of-Fame trajectory and two more guards who could join him there if they’re able to keep up their current level of play for another half-decade-plus of action.

The 2019 NBA Draft has proven to be a fairly solid one, though it had the potential to be better if the No. 1 pick had better health luck and consistency with his fitness. The No. 2 pick also had more potential but likewise has had bad luck with injuries, as well as having made poor decisions off the court. The saving grace for the 2019 draft is how loaded it is with solid-to-quite-good role players, as you’re about to see below.

The top part of the 2022 draft is quite strong, and there are a few good role players who fill out the ranks right after that top tier. The jury is obviously still out on a lot of guys, but as of now, it’s not looking like a draft class to call home about. Below, check out our way-too-early look at the 2022 draft, as we re-draft the entire first round. (FYI: At the bottom of this exercise, you’ll find the biggest risers and fallers from the actual 2022 draft to our re-draft.
