Capitol Police arrested a man outside The Heritage Foundation after he allegedly sprayed two security personnel with pepper spray. The incident occurred Wednesday morning outside the conservative policy organization, located on a busy thoroughfare just blocks from the U.S. Capitol. “Heritage believes in the First Amendment and respects American citizens’ right to disagree and to protest peacefully,” said Eric Korsvall, chief operating officer at The Heritage Foundation.

Four former staffers in the Joe Biden White House will voluntarily take questions from congressional investigators regarding the apparent cognitive decline of the 46th president. The two most prominent White House staffers will be former deputy chief of staff Annie Tomasini, and Neera Tanden, the former director of the Domestic Policy Council under Biden. Tanden will meet with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for a transcribed interview on June 24, according to a committee aide.

Just two weeks after the Trump administration released federal immigration data to states, Texas identified 33 potential noncitizens who voted in the November 2024 election and referred them for criminal investigation. The state is only in its “early stages” of analyzing data, Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson said, so this could be the first round of discovery, as states have only had access to the immigration data since late May.
