___________________Victor Paul Kawagga is a creative designer and resident of Nansana in Wakiso district. He is passionate about innovation and creativity in producing unique home interior and exterior products. Thus, he has designed dynamic wooden furniture, such as folding desks, chairs, and extendable folding tables that can be compact when not in use. Additionally, Kawagga has designed a sofa that doubles as a bed, addressing the issue of limited space for individuals living in single-rooms.

_____________________Approximately 95% of every 10 homes in Uganda, both rural and urban areas rely on charcoal, firewood or other forms of biomass for their household cooking needs. The adoption of electric cooking (e-cooking) has been rather slow in Uganda despite government initiatives to increase coverage of the national electricity grid and e-cooking subsidies for those cooking on it.

___________________Peter Arinitwe is an artivist using his artistic skills to educate and inspire the community to combat environmental pollution. In July 2021, Arinitwe founded “Plastik Talks”, a community-based organisation aimed at raising environmental awareness in Kampala's suburbs. Based in Salaama-Kabuuma, the project is gaining traction in the surrounding areas, including Salaama, Kabuuma, Ggaba, and Munyonyo.

Aged six months, Ishal Nanteza was diagnosed with a congenital condition in which her bile ducts are blocked and, therefore, can’t send bile from the liver to the small intestine described by the doctors as biliary atresia. The bile flow from the liver to the gallbladder is blocked which has damaged Nanteza’s liver and cirrhosis of the liver. However, she needs a liver transplant.
