FULLERTON - Every little thing came together for the Glendora baseball team during Saturday's CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship against neighboring San Dimas at Cal State Fullerton. The timely hitting along with clutch defense and pitching were all on display for Glendora, who shutout San Dimas 2-0 to claim the school's second championship and first since 2010. "One wise man told me that pitching and defense, those are the things you can control," Glendora coach Jerry Lewallen said.

Thatcher threw his complete-game shutout with seven strikeouts while scattering only six hits. He also scored the Eagles’ only run in the first inning from Ryan Pandullo RBI single. It was Thatcher’s second shutout of the playoffs.
