St. Joseph and Austin Hyde Park played to a draw in Tuesday's double header, each team winning a game in a rematch of the 2023 state semifinals. It was a tale of two games for the Lady Flyers, who lost the first one 11-2 while being shorthanded before coming back to win Game 2 7-4 at full strength. Game 1 saw the Lady Flyers missing seniors Aleyna St. Jean and Sofia Rodriguez, and things got out of hand fairly quickly in a 11-2 loss.

Victoria’s Logan Hartman has become one of the top shots in the state. The 11-year-old Victoria native has dedicated virtually all of his free time to archery in the last several years. Over the last several years Logan, alongside his grandparents Wade and Denise Hartman have traveled across the state in an effort to keep honing the craft. That time spent has resulted in Logan becoming one of the top 11-year-old archers in the state of Texas.

ALICE — Victoria West could not overcome injuries and No. 3 McAllen Memorial in an 8-0 loss to the Mustangs in the area round. Victoria West knew what it was up against heading into Friday's match. Even when fully healthy, it was going to be a challenge. However, the Warriors were not at full strength, playing without it's starting goalkeeper Mia Fonseca and leading goal scorer Mia Ramirez.

HALLETTSVILLE — Three runs allowed in the seventh inning doomed Hallettsville in a 5-2 District 25-3A loss to Columbus on Thursday night. Through six innings the game was a pitchers' duel. For Hallettsville it was Hudson Chenard, and for Columbus it was Kaleb Kuhn. Chenard pitched six innings for the Brahmas, striking out 10 and allowing just two runs. "You know he's still coming into his own," said Hallettsville head coach Chad Gohlke.

Victoria East picked up a 4-0 win against No. 13 Corpus Christi Veterans in District 29-5A crossover action Wednesday night. The Titans got six innings of work from Gage Goldman on the mound. Goldman allowed no runs on just three hits and struck out eight Eagles hitters on the evening. "Everything was working," Goldman said. "My defense was doing their job.
