    Boys’ Ice Hockey The Branford boys’ ice hockey season came to an end in the semifinals of state tournament play, after they fell to #2 Woodstock on March 15 by a score of 8-5. Boys’ Swimming and Diving The Hand boys’ swimming and diving co-op team competed in the Class M Diving Championships on March 8 and the Swimming Championships on March 16. On the swimming side, they placed fourth as a team with 356 points.

    The H-K/Valley Regional boys’ swimming and diving team competed in the Class M State Championship on March 16, placing 11th overall. In the 200 yard medley relay, Jackson Smith, Jack Ferguson, Alejandro Campo de la Vera, and Knoop Onno (1:44.56) took ninth place. Ferguson claimed second place in the 200 yard IM (1:54.76) and first place in the 100 yard backstrone (57.82). The 400 yard freestyle relay team of Smith, Josh Colandrea, Campo de la Vera, and Ferguson (3:31.87) took ninth place.

    Girls’ Basketball The Valley Regional girls’ basketball team grabbed a state semifinal win before bowing out in the finals of the Class M State Championship. On March 13, the Warriors defeated #7 Cromwell by a score of 56-51. Lily Grow led the way with 15 points, while Abby Bradbury added 14 and Olivia Cunningham scored 13. Regan Grow contributed six points, Siena Schaller recorded five points, and Elizabeth Allen found the net for three.

    The Hand boys’ swimming and diving co-op team competed in the Class M Diving Championships on March 8 and the Swimming Championships on March 16. On the swimming side, they placed fourth as a team with 356 points. The 200 yard medley relay team of Jonah Kehew, Matthew Gentil, Elliot Lee, and Adam Signorello took second place with a time of 1:38.99. Signorello also took eighth place (1:52.97) in the 200 yard freestyle.
