In November, I finally bit the bullet and made my first clothing purchase from Lululemon. Recently in my life I have been very very active, so I believed I wanted to invest in myself. All I had owned previously before was a headband that I bought sophomore year of high school but now I was in possession of an article of clothing. I went on Black Friday and purchased four items. Two tank tops, one pair of leggings, and a light quarter zip sweatshirt. And the final verdict is….I get the lore.

Gracie Abrams has most recently come out with her album “The Secret of Us” (Deluxe). As a girl who was obsessed with the original, I could not wait to hear the added songs. The song that resonated with me the most and as well resonated with a majority of the people on social media specifically TikTok was her song titled “That’s So True”. Gracie in the song describes the feeling of going through a breakup that caused her to lose herself in the process and the comeback she makes in the end.

The title sounds confusing but just bear with me. I love Halloween. I have enjoyed this day since I was a kid. Dressing up in costumes and getting to be whoever you want for the night excites me. However, it also has its faults. This has caused me to have a love/hate relationship with the weekend of Halloween. My first issue with Halloween is the pressure of having the perfect costume. As this is my second Halloween in college, I still have yet to buy a costume that I am absolutely in love with.

Although college is one of the most rewarding times of my life so far, this new school year has been one of the toughest for me. I have had to go through tough times that truly test my strength as a person that looks for light in everything that happens. The last three months have been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. I know that life is bound to have challenges, but it seemed as if I was never going to escape it. I am forever grateful to have the support system that I do.

Yes I know, another article about quotes from me…but just bear with me on this. This chapter in my life I’m currently in is being run by motivational quote after quote. It is truly what keeps me going and moving forward in life instead of backpedaling. This quote is one I came across in about 2017 and I still think about it every day. One of the things that keeps me going through hard times is motivational quotes. There is just something about them. They genuinely can take my day from bad to good. My love language is words of affirmation, and I feel that is a major reason why motivational quotes resonate with me. As it is Hispanic Heritage Month, I wanted to give credit to one of the girls who changed my life: Adrienne Bailon. As most of you know, Adrienne Bailon was a Cheetah Girl.
