    The Devils put on a clinic against the Philadelphia Flyers Wednesday night, finding the back of the net five times while the Flyers struggled to find it even once. The Devils added two points to their record after their 5-0 win. The first period was as slow as it could get and honestly was not looking to be in favor of the Devils. The Flyers ended the first frame with 10 shots on goal while the Devils only had seven, neither had the chance to bury one.

    The Devils starting goaltender and their best player so far this season was injured last week and unfortunately will have to miss four to six weeks with an MCL sprain. Jake Allen will take the starting goaltender role for the time being while the Devils recalled Isaac Poulter and will recall Nico Daws at some point. Allen has a 2.70 goals against average (GAA) and a save percentage of .903% in the 2024-25 season thus far.

The Swedish netminder has played 34 games and has 21 wins, including three shutouts. His save percentage is .913% with a goals-against-average of 2.20. He ranks fifth in GAA, 11th in save percentage and is tied for fourth in number of shutouts. Markstrom has made highlight reel worthy saves night after night for the Devils.
