I feel very lucky to be on a City Council where my colleagues were excited for me to get on the council at 26 years old. But other folks in the area did tell me to wait. When younger people ask me about running today, I always say “If you want it, go get it. Why wait?”
Very very very common experience for @runforsomething candidates - and advice we tell them to ignore. It’s our turn.
