It’s been a long and winding road for the Chicago Blackhawks in this 2024-25 season. Finishing 31st in the league and with a record of 25-46-11 was not the original game plan. But a lot of things backfired, and rebuilds take time. A losing campaign is a losing campaign, but there are always players that stand out from the crowd. We chose 3 Stars for every month of the season (with the exception of February), so we’d be remiss if we didn’t do so in April.

The 2024-25 season is in the books for the Chicago Blackhawks. They ended their campaign with a 25-46-11 record for 61 points, good for a rather disappointing 31st in the league. But they were also 4-1-1 in their last six games, finishing off the season on a high note and showing some encouraging trends in the right direction. A plethora of young prospects joined the team in the last few weeks of the campaign, and they all wanted to prove their worth.

The conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign is right around the corner for the Chicago Blackhawks. For the eighth season in a row (if you don’t count the playoffs of the 2019-20 bubble), Chicago has not made a postseason berth. The team will finish 31st in the league for the second season in a row, just ahead of the San Jose Sharks. It’s almost time to clean out the lockers and head to the golf courses once again.

The Chicago Blackhawks finally earned a much-desired win Sunday night (Apr. 6), defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 3-1 at the United Center. It was their first win since Mar. 23rd, having dropped five games since then, and it was just their second victory in the last 14 contests. Yeah, it hasn’t been pretty down the stretch here this season. As a matter of fact, it hasn’t been pretty most of the 2024-25 campaign.

Great stuff here by Mark on how the Blue Jackets honored the legacy of Johnny Gaudreau this season. #CBJ #THW

New: How will we remember the 2024-25 Columbus Blue Jackets? What they accomplished was bigger than the sport of hockey. Why? That's because they became a symbol of strength & hope for many when it was needed the most. #CBJ end of season column is up: https://t.co/8gmsnVqjaG

For those who missed this yesterday, here's the forwards player grades for the #Blackhawks My latest from @TheHockeyWriter #THW https://t.co/BaQz7jot5W

Former #Blackhawks forward Colin Blackwell scored the overtime winner last night for the Dallas Stars, after being a healthy scratch in Game 1. Here's the segment I wrote about his adversity when he was in college & with the Blackhawks. #THW https://t.co/0vs5LVXygY
