Applications on show will cover apparel, promotional items, rigid displays, some packaging and pop up banners.

His message is simple and direct: “Anybody coming to Drupa has to visit our stand,” says Andy Kent, general manager, Fujifilm UK’s graphic communications division. “Wherever they are coming from they will find something of interest, whether commercial print, personalisation, packaging, narrow web or wide format, it is all there.”In short Fujifilm will have all the bases covered on a very much larger stand than in 2016 though once again in Hall 8b.

The Science Based Targets initiative seems certain to allow carbon offsetting for a least part of the journey to net zero. This is a change from the organisation’s previous stance that supports carbon elimination rather than substitution. A final announcement about the extent to which carbon offsetting will be allowed is promised for July. The news has already created uproar among the organisation’s staff who accuse the organisation of allowing larger companies to buy their way to net zero.

Ticket sales for Drupa 2024 are on a par with ticket sales for the 2016 event, despite what the intervening years have done to the industry. “When I first looked at the ticket sales compared to 2016 when this became possible a four or five weeks ago, I was amazed that sales were a little higher than at the same point in 2016,” says show director Sabine Gelderman.
