Think of all the relationships in your life — platonic or otherwise — and you’ll likely be hard-pressed to find one that hasn’t experienced some sort of conflict. Humans are chaotic messes. We make shit up as we go along. And it gets us into trouble constantly! We say the wrong things, react the wrong ways, screw things up left and right. This is amplified when you cohabitate and share your life with another; imperfections are exposed and problems are picked at like old scabs.

Rebellions are said to be built on hope. In actuality, they’re built on a degree of measured chaos, a heap of unmeasured chaos, and a Tatooine desert’s worth of luck. Ok, you could argue there was some hope involved! Of course, narrowing down the colossal effort it took to integrate several (sometimes rival) factions into one cohesive movement that would eventually fell the giant known as the Empire would be incredibly reductive… right?

Daredevil fans rejoice! The Devil is back in Hell’s Kitchen — for all the good and the bad. Expectations are understandably through the roof for the MCU overhaul of Netflix’s Daredevil, fittingly titled Born Again, as the original series is still one of the best examples of well-executed superhero content. Does Daredevil: Born Again succeed at reaching these heights? Well, the answer is complicated. At its best, sure.
