Mindfulness‐based group treatment benefits buprenorphine patients

A randomized trial comprising 196 adults receiving buprenorphine for opioid use disorder (OUD) has found that use of a mindfulness-based group treatment offered some benefit relative to other evidence-based recovery supports. Participants in the tailored curriculum exhibited less opioid craving, though their opioid use outcomes did not differ significantly from those of the other study participants.
