This week’s Up Close show (6/13) will be an early candidate’s forum for candidates for the California 23rd District Congressional seat. Under California’s “Top Two” rules, a non-partisan primary will be held on June 6, of 2026. The top two vote-getters, regardless of party, will then go to the general election on November 3, 2026.

After a nine-year hiatus, Twentynine Palms High School is bringing back their Hall of Fame program with three grads set to be inducted this Friday (5/16). The Hall of Fame began in 1991 with six inductees and has since grown to 32 total inductees. The last induction was in 2016, with Larry Bowden being the most recent honoree.
