With just one week left until the 2025 NFL draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, pre-draft fever has hit the boiling point. Speculation and rumors are rampant. Some are just conjecture from the draftnik community, while others may be carefully-placed "reports" leaked by NFL teams themselves. We have a pretty good idea Miami quarterback Cam Ward will be selected by the Tennessee Titans. But after that is anyone's guess. There will no doubt be surprise selections.

The 2025 NFL Draft is just about a week away. And with each passing day that passes between now and the big day(s), discussion and speculation about what's going to happen in Green Bay from April 24 through April 26. Sure, knowing who will begin their careers is one part of the puzzle.

The 2025 NFL draft is almost here. The rumors and speculation will soon give way to actual picks, and we'll know where this year's rookie class will begin their professional careers. As soon as the festivities in Green Bay wrap up, another series of fantasy football drafts will begin, as managers in dynasty leagues will hold their annual rookie drafts. Some redraft and best-ball managers will be chomping at the bit to get after it, too. After four months or so of fantasy darkness, folks get twitchy.

In less than two weeks, the Tennessee Titans will step to the podium and announce the first pick of the 2025 NFL draft, after which all 32 teams will add a class of rookie newcomers to their squads. There will then be another wave of free agency as teams fill needs that were not addressed in the draft, but the first free-agent wave has already hit the shore. Scores of players switched teams, and millions of dollars were doled out.

7. CB Brandon Stephens After losing cornerback D.J. Reed to the Detroit Lions, the New York Jets were left with a hole in the secondary. Jets general manager Darren Mougey moved quickly to fill that void, agreeing to terms on a three-year deal with Brandon Stephens. But as is often the case when teams jump to fill a need, Mougey didn’t look before he leaped—and it could cost the Jets in the long run. Stephens doesn’t expect the Jets secondary to miss a beat.
