    Apple has launched its annual Back to School promotion in Canada, offering free gear like AirPods or accessories when you buy a new Mac or iPad through its education store. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman was correct again in reporting the promo would launch on June 17. The promo runs from June 17 to September 30, 2025, and is open to college and university students, parents buying for post-secondary students, faculty, and K–12 staff.

    SaskTel says it is extending support for residents of northern Saskatchewan who were forced to evacuate due to wildfires. Customers in affected communities will continue to have all wireless data overage charges waived, and will receive bill credits for SaskTel Internet, maxTV Stream, and Home Phone services. These supports were first introduced for evacuees on May 31 and will now remain in place through June 30, 2025.

    Apple has launched a repair program for select 2023 Mac mini computers with M2 chips that may fail to turn on (via 9to5Mac). The issue affects a small batch of units made between June 16, 2024, and November 23, 2024. Owners can check if their device qualifies by entering its serial number on Apple’s website. If eligible, Apple or an authorized service provider will repair the computer at no cost.
