A senior official for Brazilian aircraft manufacture Embraer has confirmed that the company is closely monitoring Wellington’s plans to replace two elderly Boeing 757 aircraft flying with the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). Bosco da Costa, Head of Embraer Defense & Space told ADM in Brazil last week that he is carefully monitoring the process and would propose Embraer’s C-390 Millennium transport aircraft if an opportunity arose.
