Although Olive and Thai opened in spring 2023, I hadn’t noticed it until just last week, when I walked past and saw all the tables were full and there was a queue leading to the door. I was intrigued by this new (I then thought) Thai place. So, early on Saturday evening, I headed over to the Queens Arcade with a couple of friends. It was a good thing that we made a booking because, even as early as 5.30, the restaurant was already busy.

Otherside, a new fried chicken brand, landed in Trinity Kitchen this week, dishing up especially delicious strips, burgers and sides to Leeds’ hungry shoppers and passers-by. The new food brand was created by a Leeds-based partnership, one of whom, Andrew Critchett, has a trackrecord of successful street food businesses. Andrew was previously awarded Best Main Dish at the British Street Food Awards.

Rachel Woolford launched North Studio in Roundhay, Leeds during the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving her job in finance to pursue her love for fitness. In the years that followed, North Studio went from strength to strength, with new and returning members attending a range of classes, including run and cycle sessions, barre and vinyasa yoga every day. Yes, we’ve got one in the centre of Wetherby in the Market Square that we opened in 2020. So how do you see juggling the two with two different places to manage? I was the Area Manager for another restaurant chain, so I have previous experience juggling numerous sites. So, I’ve been there.
