WARREN/HAZEL PARK — James Fouts, the former mayor of Warren now running for a seat in the Michigan House of Representatives, has responded to a complaint made to the Michigan Bureau of Elections. The complaint was filed by Edward Klobucher, the city manager of Hazel Park. Klobucher claims that Fouts’ affidavit of identity is invalid and should disqualify him from the race. Fouts is challenging Democratic state Rep.

WARREN — The suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash near 11 Mile and Hoover roads was arraigned in the 37th District Court before Judge Michael Chupa on May 9. Savion Jones, 35, of Warren, was charged with one count of failing to stop at the scene of a crash resulting in death, a five-year felony.
