These survivors, hibakusha in Japanese, have dedicated their lives to ridding the world of nuclear weapons. But to many Americans, the atomic bombs dropped on Japan are still a hazy part of history. One of the reasons for this is time; it has been nearly 80 years since the war ended. But another reason is education.
