Zoonotic tuberculosis (zTB) is a form of tuberculosis (TB) disease in humans caused primarily by infection with Mycobacterium bovis, the main cause of TB in cattle. Controlling zTB is essential for global TB elimination and is included in The Global Plan to End TB 2023–2030. There are limited data from settings where TB incidence is low in people but high in cattle. We found limited evidence of zTB in people despite high and prolonged occupational exposure to TB-infected cattle.
