White addressed the recent controversy surrounding quarterback Nico Iamaleava's departure, emphasizing the importance of team culture. In a room full of orange-clad cheers, Danny White limped to the forefront. Tennessee’s athletic director was playing hurt. Breaking a bone, he said, was the byproduct of an old basketball injury.

The Tennessee Titans' signing of undrafted free agent Xavier Restrepo, former wide receiver for the Miami Hurricanes, was a smart move. The Titans' front office, under new leadership, deserves praise for a more practical and long-term approach. Rookie wide receiver Xavier Restrepo, much like his new NFL team, isn’t that impressive on paper. He’s only about 5-foot-10. He reportedly ran a relatively glacial 4.83-second 40 at his pro day. And as a result, he wasn’t picked in the 2025 NFL Draft.

It only took a few picks into Mike Borgonzi’s first NFL Draft as the Tennessee Titans’ general manager to detect a theme. Different players and backgrounds and positions. And yet, generally, the same type of pick:These Titans did their homework to pinpoint their guys. Beginning with the No. 1 overall pick and new face of the franchise, quarterback Cam Ward, the Titans assembled team captains, reliable teammates, strong students, guys of high energy, a love of football and a desire to be successful.

The Tennessee Titans drafted quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Ward was presented with Warren Moon's retired No. 1 jersey at his introductory press conference. Moon, a Hall of Famer, gave his blessing for Ward to wear the number, a decision he had carefully considered. Once the pads go on, NFL coaches and players are fond of saying, it won’t matter a bit when or where a player happened to be drafted. But on this day, however, it couldn’t have mattered more.
