Among those taking the stand, one of Combs' former assistants, Brendan Paul, who testified about the ins and outs of working for Combs. Paul told the court that he began working for Combs in 2022, first hearing about the opportunity from another former assistant. "He told me to get in, to get out, if you have a girlfriend, break up with her, and you’re never going to see your family," Paul testified.

Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex trafficking trial kicked off with some drama Thursday. Judge Subramanian issued a warning to the defense team, saying that if Combs continued to try and interact with the jury, he might exclude him from being in the courtroom. Judge Subramanian said he saw Combs on two different occasions during testimony, looking at the jury and nodding vigorously. He told the defense that if it happens again, he could remove Combs.
