    In the first of two pivotal district games between unbeaten foes, the No. 4 Aledo Bearcats took on the Granbury Pirates as the visiting team in the first game of Aledo’s most important district series to date. After a barrage of early offense and plenty of mettle down the stretch, the Bearcats walked away with a 7-2 victory on April 15. The Bearcats got a quality performance on the mound from Grayson McKelvey while Ethan Hodo and Luke Sandefur contributed with their arms as well.

As winners of seven of their last eight games coming in, the Bearcats hosted district foe Saginaw. They continued their surge with a quality performance in all phases, winning the contest by a final score of 9-0.

    The No. 6 Aledo Ladycats softball team continued its demolition through district opponents with a home contest Tuesday night against the Saginaw Lady Roughriders. The Ladycats came out of the gates with great force and execution, scoring an astounding 15 times in the first inning alone. Aledo’s dominant entrance paved the way for smooth sailing, to the tune of a 19-0 final score in three innings via mercy rule.
