WESTHAMPTON — The Pittsfield boys soccer team had its season ended in the MIAA Division IV Round of 16 by a familiar foe, as the Generals fell to Hampshire 5-1 on Tuesday night. The loss is Pittsfield’s fourth against Hampshire this season. The No. 19 Generals knew it was going to be tough sledding heading into the game — Hampshire won 9-0, 2-0, and 2-1 earlier in the year — and did themselves no favor by falling behind six minutes in. SOUTH DEERFIELD — With the chance to secure a spot in the state playoffs Friday night, the Belchertown football team took care of business on both sides of the ball in a 26-7 win over Frontier on the road.
