Central Catholic’s inside and outside game were on display Monday evening as the Eagles defeated Houma Christian 57-31 in Houma. LSU sophomore cross country runner Ella Chesnut said late this summer her team’s goal was to make it to the NCAA XC Championships this season. While the group just missed qualifying for nationals at the NCAA South Central Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Chesnut, a Vandebilt Catholic alum, qualified individually.

The South Lafourche volleyball team that fell in five sets to Covenant Christian Academy in the regular season opener in August was a different squad than the one that met the Lions Monday in Schriever. The results were different, too. South Lafourche defeated Covenant Christian in straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-20 and 25-18 as both teams head into the final week of the regular season and prepare for the playoffs.
