When it meets Wednesday morning, the Western Reserve Port Authority Board of Directors will take up a request to approve a capital lease agreement with the consumer paper products manufacturer, which purchased 560 acres of the former BDM Steel property in Trumbull County in December 2023.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – An Akron company has purchased five parcels totaling nearly 43 acres of industrial land in Weathersfield Township for $4.2 million. Christopher Halvorson, president of Magellan Scientific LLC, declined to comment on his company’s plans for the property it purchased at 1047 Belmont Ave. in late March.

CANFIELD, Ohio – Fred Moran said he sees the $300,000 he donated to the Ursuline Sisters Mission on Tuesday as a way to give back for 12 years of education by nuns. YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A year after construction started on Villa Nora, a new residential development in Poland, six of the planned 17 units of the development’s first phase are sold, David Klacik, agent at Klacik Real Estate, reports. That includes four units that are now occupied and the house that had been constructed as the development’s model home, a replacement for which is being built now. YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz warned that his party needs to adopt a 50-state strategy if it plans to win future elections. About 2,600 people attended Monday night’s People’s Town Hall event at the DeYor Performing Arts Center to hear Walz, according to organizers of the event. “We need to figure out, how do we win places back like right here?” he said.
