YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Plans for exterior upgrades at the Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s newest building and improvements at Spring Common Park both were approved by the city’s Design Review Committee during its monthly meeting Tuesday. The plans for the former IBM Building, 250 E. Federal St., include upgrades to exterior windows, steel lintels and masonry to match the existing building design and masonry materials intended to restore and preserve the building’s character.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Kimberly-Clark Corp.’s new $800 million plant in Trumbull County will be designed to manufacture most of the products in its personal care line, a company spokesperson said Friday. The Dallas-based consumer paper products manufacturer announced Thursday that it would move forward with construction of a plant on 560 acres of property it purchased for $9.9 million from the Western Reserve Port Authority in December 2023.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – State and local officials hailed Thursday’s announcement by Kimberly-Clark Corp. that the company plans to move forward on a plant in Trumbull County that is expected to create approximately 500 jobs. The approximately 1 million-square-foot plant will serve 117 million consumers in the Northeast and Midwest regions, according to an infographic from the Dallas-based consumer paper products manufacturer. Construction is expected to begin in May and take two to three years.
