Mombasa Anti-Narcotics Unit detectives say they have nabbed a notorious drug trafficker, Shee Hussein, at Magaoni area in Msambweni and recovered 200 grammes of heroin. According to DCI, the unit was acting on solid intelligence and pounced on Hussein aboard a public service vehicle. A quick search revealed 200 grams of heroin cleverly hidden in his left trouser pocket. Detectives said on further interrogation at his home, more drugs were found.

President William Ruto does not use public money to support churches. Deputy government spokesperson Mwanaisha Chidzuga said President Ruto donates millions of shillings from the proceeds of his businesses. Speaking during an interview at Baraka FM, she said it is well known that Ruto is a successful businessman therefore nobody should question the sources of the money he gives out on Sundays to churches he is invited to.

Killers of former Kilifi Deputy Governor Kenneth Kamto have been jailed for 70 years. Julius Gitonga was jailed for 40 years, while Joseph Mukabana was sentenced to 30 years in jail after being found guilty of murder by a Mombasa court. Kamto who was the first Deputy Governor of Kilifi, was murdered in his Nyali home in Mombasa County on 12th December 2018. The two were found guilty of robbery with violence and murder.

Matuga OCPD William Cheruiyot has died after collapsing in his house in Kwale County. His body was flown to Nairobi on Wednesday following his family’s request. Kwale County police commander Reginald Omaria confirmed the death. He said Cheruiyot was pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby hospital. Omaria revealed that Cheruiyot was jolly and upbeat while speaking to his colleagues until noon when they got the disturbing news.
