Sen. Alex Padilla had heard all he could stand from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. For good reason. She was sounding like a military dictator and brushing off California voters. So the California senator interrupted her. He tried to ask a question — and wound up being shoved out of the room by federal bodyguards, strong-armed to the floor and handcuffed. This is how the Trump administration intends to “Make America Great Again”?

President Donald Trump craves attention and will stoop to any depth to grab it — even pour gasoline on a kindling fire in Los Angeles. But this time he unwittingly provided priceless attention for an adversary. Because Trump needlessly deployed National Guard troops — and more ridiculous, a Marine battalion — to L.A., California Gov. Gavin Newsom was granted a prime-time speaking slot on national cable television to respond. “We honor their service. We honor their bravery,” Newsom said of the troops.

Thank you, Sen. Feinstein, for deciding to serve out your term rather than resign. Now millions of Ca voters can choose your replacement, rather than just one governor.

Allan Zaremberg was by far the most important, most influential business representative in Ca's capital for decades. And he may have been the most liked because he was gracious, wise and bipartisan in problem solving. An old school great guy.

Recall Xln Sept 14? Too bad not July 14. Sooner we get this waste of time and tax money behind us, the better. Especially for the Ca GOP.
