It was the location of many of our first Bristol gigs and club nights and is sadly the latest casualty in a worrying number of closing venues in the UK.

Though existing on the edges of mainstream pop, Charli was always at the cutting edge of more experimental pop, through her experiments with hyperpop and collaborations with producers such as SOPHIE and A.G. Cook. But, with ‘brat,’ everything changed.

On Friday 13th June, Outbreak Festival broke out of Manchester for its first event in London. Taking place in Victoria Park amongst the other Lido festival dates, Outbreak showed off some of the biggest hardcore, hip-hop and indie rock names, with a few curve balls thrown in for good measure.

We’re extremely lucky to live in the UK with so many small festivals on offer every year, showcasing the huge amount of new music around the country. But, as we’re all far too aware, it is a highly difficult time for grassroots venues and festivals, with many having to close their doors every year.
