QPR 2 Norwich City Women 1 Norwich City's promotion hopes took another hit as they suffered a second straight Women's National League Division One South East defeat at the hands of QPR. The first half at Loftus Road was very cagey, with neither side managing to create any clear-cut opportunities. City midfielder Freya Symonds did force home goalkeeper Nicole Melling into a save with an effort from range, but that was the closest anybody came to opening the scoring before the break.

The Canaries started brightly in St Neots and missed a good chance to open the scoring only 12 minutes in, with Millie Daviss sending her effort narrowly wide after being teed up by Issy Moore.

Norwich City Women midfielder Eloise Morran revealed her excitement to go on international duty after being called up by Scotland under-19s. Morran first featured in one of Scotland's squads earlier this year and was recently selected to travel to Ljubljana, where she could play in as many as three games for her country. The 17-year-old started for the Canaries on Sunday afternoon as they defeated Actonians in the National League Plate, with striker Shannon Shaw netting a second half brace.

The application of Norwich City's players impressed boss Andy Cook as the Canaries put the disappointment of their East Anglian derby defeat behind them by thrashing London Seaward 5-0 at The Nest. City were beaten comfortably by Ipswich Town in the Women's National League Cup last week, but their start to the regular league season has been excellent, with maximum points recorded from their opening three games.
