    Oracle has won two US federal contracts. The cloud computing provider has seen the US Army’s Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) expand its use of OCI, and has been selected by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the STRATUS contract. The task order from the US Army has been awarded by the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability (JWCC) contract, and will see Oracle providing cloud compute and storage services to the Army’s ECMA via Oracle US Defense Cloud.

    South Korea's Kakao Bank (K-Bank) is seeking bids for a data center project. The company is looking to construct what would be its fifth data center amid efforts to cut the risk of system failures, reports SBS Biz. The bank has reportedly put out three competitive bidding notices for the data center, for which the company wants to begin deploying servers in July with a complete deployment date of February 2026.

The data center in the Kansai region of Osaka will be the third availability zone in Japan, joining Tencent's two other zones in Tokyo. Details about the data center have not been shared. In addition to the new cloud region, Tencent will open a new office in Osaka to help create more jobs in the region.
