    Chicago First Alert Weather: Cloudy, breezy day CHICAGO (CBS) -- A strong fall flavor is in our weather today and tonight, with plenty of clouds, cool/chilly temperatures, and some lake effect sprinkles mainly along the Illinois-Indiana border. Winds will relax tonight and some areas inland could dip down into the mid-30s if skies have a chance to clear out which would mean some patchy frost is possible in those areas, according to CBS 2 Meteorologist Gerard Jebaily.

    Chicago First Alert Weather: A cool fall weekend CHICAGO (CBS) -- This evening will see a few uninvited showers continue to pester our western counties but it should mostly stay out of the Chicago area. It will be mostly cloudy this evening and otherwise pleasant. Fall begins on Saturday at 1:50 a.m. and it looks great with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s, according to CBS 2 Meteorologist Gerard Jebaily.

    Chicago First Alert Weather: Sunny weekend ahead CHICAGO (CBS) -- Some lingering shower activity to the southwest of Chicago will slowly drift into the metro tonight. It could persist into the morning but most of our data is showing it ending by daybreak Friday with some spotty light stuff in the surrounding area. The weekend is looking pretty good to start the first official day of fall on Saturday.

    CHICAGO (CBS)-- Showers and storms are on the way. A Flood Watch will take effect for Cook, Lake, DuPage and McHenry counties from 10 a.m. until midnight. Rain chances increase throughout the morning Monday. Heavy rain showers and storms move into the area by the afternoon and evening. Flooding remains the main threat as the storms move into the area. An isolated severe storm threat is also possible with this passing system this afternoon.
