The 2025 edition of Salone del Mobile took place from 8th to 13th April at Milan’s Rho Fiera fairgrounds. This year’s edition featured the biennial Euroluce lighting exhibition, the inaugural Euroluce International Lighting Forum, an extensive cultural programme, and numerous design events throughout Milan. Despite the “hugely uncertain global context”, Salone del Mobile reported strong visitor numbers, with foreign attendees accounting for 68 percent of the total.

• News • Continuing the restoration and adaptive reuse of Automatic Mills in the Czech city of Pardubice, Brno-based TRANSAT architekti has completed the new headquarters for the Gočár Gallery in the historic mill’s main building. The gallery is named after influential Czech architect Josef Gočár: Automatic Mills, designated a national cultural monument in the Czech Republic, is one of the first buildings designed by Gočár.

• News • Czech architectural studio Grido architekti has designed a sports hall for the pupils of an elementary school in Řevnice in the Prague-West District of the Czech Republic. The hall’s form follows function aesthetic emphasizes practicality and simplicity, referencing the functionalism of 1930s Czech architecture. The sports hall is situated on a former tennis court site, between a new school annex and a “Lidový dům” (a community center or cultural venue).
