The AdvTech Group has announced that Hannes Boonzaaier will be its group CFO and executive director from 1 February 2025. Hannes will be replacing Didier Oesch, who will be retiring at the end of April 2025 after serving 19 years with the company. Hannes is currently the group CFO of AfroCentric Group and has been serving in this role since 2015. Prior to that, he was the senior manager in the corporate finance team at KPMG, where he also completed his articles.

Lindani (Mpume) Mpumelelo Sidaki will be taking over the executive finance director position at Sable Exploration and Mining Limited, from 1 December 2024. His previous role was at uShaka Marine World where he was the acting CFO from September 2023 to March 2024. Before that, Lindani served as the acting CFO of the KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority from 2018 to 2022.

Tendai Matore will take on the acting CFO role at SABC on 30 November 2024. The South African Broadcasting Corporation has announced the appointment of Tendai Matore as acting CFO, following the departure of Yolande van Biljon. Tendai joined SABC in 2016 and has served as its head of finance and management reporting since 2021. Prior to that, he was the general manager of financial and management reporting from 2019 to 2021, as well as the head of group financial reporting from 2016 to 2019.

Former CFO of Sygnia Asset Management, Niki Giles has left the company to re-join Prescient Fund Services as the new head of strategy. Niki formerly worked at Prescient for four years, from 2019 to 2023. She was the head investor for services and products from January 2019 to June 2021. She was then promoted to head of governance, risk, and compliance, where she served from July 2021 to April 2023, playing a critical role in product strategy and operations.

Mike Davis, the CFO of Nedbank Group, has been voted CFO of the Year at the 2024 CFO Awards. He was honoured on 13 November at the “Oscars of Finance”, which took place at the Polo Room, Inanda Club in Sandton, Johannesburg. “I am very super chuffed to embody the award. This job comes with a lot of work time spent away from home so I would like to thank my wife,” Mike said, after receiving the award from Spiros Fatouros, CEO at Marsh.
