RESERVE A TABLEJames Harden’s Midtown restaurant has all of the components of a typical clubstaurant. Thirteen has a sea of moody backlighting, Brent Faiyaz blaring through the speakers, and a $40 valet. You can spend the evening in either the main dining room, which is mostly velvet banquettes and a few resin statues of cartoon bears, or the Thirteen Lounge, which is just a shrunken version of the dining room.

The mudbugs are served by the pound at this Garden Oaks restaurant and doused in a flavor bomb of garlic, cayenne, and a small pool of melted butter. The other seafood options at Clawdaddy also shine. Charbroiled oysters get layered with garlic and a few blankets of melted cheese.

Hundreds of restaurants serve bread, but those buns, flatbreads, and loaves pale in comparison to the Nancy Cakes. We like to use each puffed-up orb to make little sandwiches with the provided cultured butter and trout roe. These fluffy cakes are worth a trip to Nancy’s Hustle all on their own. If you walk in during peak dinner hours, space at Nancy’s Hustle will be pretty limited.

photo credit: Studio RiveraRESERVE A TABLEDoko is a new sushi and yakitori restaurant that has opened in Autry Park. While the food consists of nigiri flights, the interior seems lighthearted with brightly patterned wallpaper and loveseats instead of bar stools at the sushi counter. In addition to a six-course tasting menu, Doko also has an a la carte menu with chicken fat fried rice, wagyu toast, and karaage.
