Remi is now open in Hotel Sanduca. The European restaurant in Uptown focuses on tagliatelle made daily, steak frites with au poivre, and a filet mignon served with whipped truffle butter. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

RESERVE A TABLEJames Harden’s Midtown restaurant has all of the components of a typical clubstaurant. Thirteen has a sea of moody backlighting, Brent Faiyaz blaring through the speakers, and a $40 valet. You can spend the evening in either the main dining room, which is mostly velvet banquettes and a few resin statues of cartoon bears, or the Thirteen Lounge, which is just a shrunken version of the dining room.

Clawdaddy’s crustaceans are worth their weight in gold, especially the crawfish. The mudbugs are served by the pound at this Garden Oaks restaurant and doused in a flavor bomb of garlic, cayenne, and a small pool of melted butter. The other seafood options at Clawdaddy also shine. Charbroiled oysters get layered with garlic and a few blankets of melted cheese.

RESERVE A TABLEChikahan is now open in Sawyer Yards. The Filipino restaurant offers a seven-course tasting menu for $150, where you can expect dishes like sinigang soup and longanisa yaki sausage. They’re BYOB, so be prepared to stop at your favorite wine shop beforehand. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists. Where every course counts. Expect moody lighting, braised oxtails, and a cupcake ferris wheel from Kiss in the First Ward.
